A winter writing activity. Or should I say craftivity? I couldn’t find this word in Webster’s dictionary. However, I did find it in the Urban Dictionary.

craftivity: a word used to describe a ‘craft activity’ only used by fools since a craft is an activity

Urban Dicitonary

Oh man I laughed when I read that!

Yet ‘craftivity’ is a word that is used in so much of the teacher culture. When I was in the classroom looking for lesson plans my eyes would always navigate to anything that referenced a ‘craftivity’.

Time to Get Crafty

I stumbled upon a post by Crafty Morning earlier this month when I was looking for some type of art project to do with my son and his friends.

I knew it was an adorable project just by looking at it. But as I read her post, I saw that she got it from Sailing into Second who got it from Lyndsey Kuster.

I was fully planning on creating my own template of the adorable child until I stumbled upon Lynsey’s page who has the template outline for FREE! Less work for me? Yes please!

Time to Get Writing

But with all activities, I love to take them a step further. And this activity instantly had me singing the song that goes “If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops…”

If you haven’t heard it, prepare yourself. It will get stuck in your head!

I created a writing activity that can be used for just about any age. Four different choices based on your child’s age and writng ability.

So, for all my fellow homeschool moms, all the kiddos can do the same activity and writing project!
