There’s a sign in my yard. There is no going back. We’ve already had four showings (I think) with at least three more in the next few days.
It’s a weird situation knowing that strangers are walking through your house while you are not home. My house is cleaner than it has been since, well, since before Liam was born that’s for sure.
And it smells GOOD! Glade plug-ins are no joke. I used to use them all the time but I got sick of buying them all the time. I must say that I will not think twice about the price again. A fresh smelling house at all times (not just when you light a candle before company comes over) is so refreshing!
Our house looks like a model home right now. Long gone is the block of knives, Kureg, and the KitchenAid mixer from the kitchen counters. Our toothbrushes have found a new home in a bathroom drawer right beside my deodorant and toilet paper. Tippet’s food bowl and bed are stuffed on a shelf in the storage room beside cans of paint. A box of Cherrios can be found with the drinking cups in the kitchen. Paper towels are in the cabinets above our computer. Any place we can find to get them out of view but still be able to use them.
We have packed many, many boxes and toted them over to a storage unit. And many, many boxes have been taken to the Salvation Army.
And since it took me so long to post this…Matt has now left!
Matt, Jerry and Tippet embarked on their 31ish hour journey about 6 this morning. With a full car and boat, they were set. They have it all mapped out and hope to make it to St. Louis or beyond by then end of the day with a stop by the Arch hopefully!
For now, Liam and I are playing PlayDough 🙂
